Children
Low Self-Esteem
-
Does your child have a deep sense of inferiority?
-
Has your child used frequently self-disparaging remarks about her/his appearance, merits and abilities?
-
Does your child often take responsibility for others people’s problems?
-
Is your child refusing to try new experiences?
-
Have you observed that your child is often neglectful/quiet, cautious/fearful, pleasing/friendly, insecure /anxious?
-
Do you think you might be using negative parenting methods?
If you answered yes to any of these questions your child is showing signs of an unhealthy self-esteem. Children with low self-esteem are predominantly pessimistic, a disposition that can affect them later in life. I would like to help your child to learn to have a more positive outlook on a personal level and towards the world in general. Together we can discover underlying issues that are preventing the child from feeling good about himself/herself. With the appropriate help every child can develop a healthy self-esteem for a happier, more fulfilling life.
