Children
Acting-Out Behavior
-
Has your child stopped listening to you?
-
Is your child argumentative, defiant, unreasonable, angry or hostile?
-
Is she/he disrespectful?
-
Does your child have unexplained behavioral changes?
-
Is your son/daughter hanging out with a crowd that you don't approve?
-
Has your child been suspended?
If you have answered "yes" to any of these questions, therapy may be able to help your child (and you!). For many children acting out may result in social isolation and limit his or her ability to engage in and learn from new experiences. Children may act out as a way to express powerful, painful, and/or confusing feelings that they are unable to verbalize. I can help your child change a hostile and defiant behavior and replace it with a cooperative, controlled and respectful attitude. Together we can build a caring and supportive environment for your family to achieve success.
